This notice explains the information the service handles, why it is needed, and the outside services involved. It applies to startups.rip and its account, research, email, and payment features.
Startups.RIP may receive your email address when you create an account, request a sign-in link, subscribe to updates, ask for a new company analysis, save a report, contact us, or purchase Pro access. Product forms may also contain the search terms, chat questions, company requests, correction details, or other text you choose to submit. Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe; Startups.RIP receives transaction and subscription records rather than complete card numbers.
The service and its infrastructure may process IP addresses, browser and device details, requested URLs, timestamps, referral parameters, authentication cookies, rate-limit events, feature use, and error or security logs. Vercel provides hosting and aggregate web analytics. Supabase provides database and authentication services. Stripe processes purchases, and Resend delivers transactional or requested email. Research and chat features may send the text needed to fulfill a request to configured AI or search providers.
Information is used to operate and secure the site, authenticate accounts, enforce access limits, deliver reports and email, process subscriptions, answer support requests, diagnose failures, measure aggregate product use, and improve the research experience. We do not sell personal information. Public company reports are built from public sources; private account details are not added to those reports merely because someone uses the service.
You can unsubscribe using the link in an email. Browser controls can limit cookies, although authentication and paid features may stop working. Records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, legal obligations, dispute handling, security, and reliable backups; different records may have different lifetimes.
